There are a number of options for mounting a solar array in order to ensure the best possible look and performance.
Ground Mounts
Ground Mounts are one easy way to mount solar panels. As the name implies, panels are secured on the ground, usually to a cement slab for stability. This method provides easy access for adjustment and cleaning.
Pole Mounts
Pole Mounts are also easy to install and let you keep the panels off the ground and out of harm’s way. A pole mount array can be fixed, which means it holds the panel in one position, or it can move to track the sun. A pole mount system that moves the panels to follow the sun is called a tracker.
Roof Mounts
Roof Mounts are often considered the most aesthetically pleasing option for mounting a solar array. There may be mounted in horizontal or vertical mode on a rail system installed on the roof. The rail system is easy to install and may be customized to your roof. The most common type of rail mounts are attached to the roof first and the panels are attached from above.
