So, are you ready to begin?
ASSESSMENT
As soon as you contact us, we will make an appointment to visit your home and determine some sizing parameters for a renewable energy system. To minimize the size of your system, we would like to explore ways that you can reduce your energy use. There are many small things that you can do to reduce your energy usage. It is not cost effective to install extra solar panels to offset wasteful energy usage.
Not sure where improvements can be made? We can help you with that as well. We’ll schedule an energy audit for you to find places where energy consumption can be reduced. Once you are satisfied with your energy usage, we’ll begin the process of outfitting you with a renewable energy system.
The size of your PV system is going to depend on
a. the available area you have to install panels
b. the orientation and shading of your roof
c. the amount of energy you currently use
d. your energy offset goals
e. your budget (including available financial incentives)
When we visit you we will explore each of these items to make sure that we can provide an optimal solution for you. The first step is to determine how much usable roof space you have. This will yield a maximum possible system size that you can expect. Next, we’ll look at your energy usage history (save those old electric bills!) and discuss your energy offset goals and budget.
Are you looking to offset 20% of your electric bill?
You’ll probably need a small grid-tied solar system.
Do you want complete independence from your utility?
You’ll need a large solar system and a battery bank.
Most people fall somewhere in between, but whatever your goals, we’ll look at them within the constraints of your layout and budget to determine which system will be right for you.
DESIGN
After we have collected this information, we will quickly provide a bid to you. Once you decide to move forward, we’ll design a complete system for you including one-line drawings and system specifications.
INSTALLATION
Once you decide to move forward, we can proceed with the installation phase. If applicable, we will begin the rebate process with your local utility, start pulling permits, and obtain the system components. Once we assume delivery, we will begin installation. When we finish, we guarantee that you will have a beautiful, well designed system that will provide you years of free electricity.
